These are Made in Gombak. We delivered the shots, the first time.
To be honest, we have been using digital cameras since Nikon introduced the D50 (try googling its launch date), it was our first experience using a digital body - we were working for a certain leading publishing company back then.
Today as our careers expand, so does our photography equipment. To date, between us we've shot hundreds of thousands of photos (imagine shooting more than a 1000 images
in a day's event). Out of the thousands of photos, only a few hundred are selected and about a few handful of them are edited for publishing.
Ask any seasoned photographers this question: How many pictures of theirs have been published in magazines or online? The average answer would be: A few dozen (and that's over a lifetime of their careers).
Imagine a National Geographic photographer on an assignment, sitting in a tree for 14 days, taking home 10,000 images and only selecting 5 or 6 of their best shots and only, just only 1 gets picked for the magazine. Now you know how the pros work (if you haven't already).
We practice the same workflow and quality control over the images shot or made at events. Nothing gets on our nerves faster than a poorly captured image seeing the light of day unedited.
So there. When you see an image of a bird seeming frozen in the air, remember, that's just one out of the thousands of images taken in a short period of time - imagine the effort.
